Red and white car detail in Narin murder case
In the expert report on the Narin Güran murder, it was determined that two vehicles, one red and one white, followed each other on the village road and moved in succession until reaching a fork in the road. The red vehicle turned northeast, while the white vehicle continued on the upper road.

In an interim decision taken by the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, it was decided that an expert examination should be conducted on the footage belonging to the Daran-2 region, which was added to the case file. After the expert from the National Criminal Bureau who came to Diyarbakır was duly sworn in, the footage of the region was delivered via a flash drive.
Footage of evidence collection from the vehicle of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who carried Narin's lifeless body, had been added to the case file.
EXPERT REPORT COMPLETED
The expert report prepared by the National Criminal Bureau regarding the footage examined in relation to the case has been completed and sent to the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court.
The report, which also includes photos taken from the footage, states that as a result of the examination of the security camera footage of the school in Tavşantepe Neighborhood, "According to the camera time, Narin Güran is in the frame at 15.14, waving to other girls at 15.15, and is seen walking on the path; after this moment, Narin is not seen in the camera angle, and the last moment she is seen on the school camera is 15.15.14 (hour/minute/second)," and continues as follows:
"1.5 minutes after the last sighting on the school camera (current), there is a moving shadow towards the house-barn direction; it is evaluated that this shadow could be Narin Güran due to the dark color of the clothing elements and the perception of her being short and thin, and the final assessment is left to the discretion of the court."
The report added to the case file includes findings regarding the issues the court requested the institution to investigate.
Regarding the court's request: "Knowing that Narin headed towards the path where her own house is located after being seen on the school camera, it is requested to investigate whether she went to Arif Güran's house or barn, or whether she went towards the house of the defendant Nevzat Bahtiyar located on the path, or whether the defendant Bahtiyar met Narin on the path; in light of the fact that Narin was wearing black clothes in her last appearance on the school camera, it is requested to carefully examine whether a girl in black clothes can be identified, and also to evaluate the time interval between 15.10 and 15.30," the report included the following information as a result of the examination:
NARİN WAS DETERMINED TO BE APPROACHING THE BARN-HOUSE AREA
"Since it is possible to define the clothing characteristics during the moment she was in the frame while about to use the path, and considering the reasonable time she spent on the path, it is evaluated that Narin Güran was approaching the barn-house area in the space seen between 15.18.49 and 15.18.50 (hour/minute/second), which was monitored as a dark-looking moving shadow throughout the decoded clip, and she disappeared from view by going upwards."
WHETHER NEVZAT BAHTİYAR WENT TO ARİF GÜRAN'S HOUSE ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT WAS ALSO EXAMINED
Regarding the court's request: "Taking into account the statements of the defendant Nevzat Bahtiyar at various stages, to examine whether he went to Arif Güran's house, whether he left the house, whether he went to his own house or barn carrying something, whether he entered his barn or house, and whether he later left his house or barn with a red car, and to specify the time frame if these or other issues are determined," the report included the following findings:
"Although it was aimed to provide specific answers to all questions asked by using all image enhancement techniques and by watching each frame repeatedly, it was evaluated that it would not be possible to make a determination regarding whether something was carried to the house or barn, entries and exits to the house or barn, or where he left from with the car, due to the fact that the part where the incident took place is quite far away and the barn, house, and other houses and buildings are very close to each other."
2 WHITE AND RED COLORED VEHICLES
Regarding the information requested by the court: "By specifically examining the places alleged to be the crime scene, whether a red and white car was detected, and whether the cars came together or moved in succession," the following conclusion was reached:
"It is evaluated that the vehicle indicated by the red arrow, which is understood from the dark-colored frames to be dark, could be red, and that this vehicle and the vehicle followed by the blue arrow, which is evaluated to be much lighter in color and white, came together. It was stated that as the white vehicle approached, the vehicle evaluated to be red suddenly started moving at 15.40 according to the camera date and time stamp.
At the same time, it was observed that they moved in succession, and continued to follow each other and move in this way until the fork in the road at the village entrance, until 15.42 according to the camera date and time stamp; the vehicle evaluated to be white went up from the fork, while the vehicle evaluated to be red proceeded in the northeast direction on the lower road."
"SHADOWS AND LIGHTED AREAS WERE MONITORED IN THE HOUSE AND BARN AREA"
Regarding the court's request: "To determine whether there was human activity in Arif Güran's house or barn, which is alleged to be the crime scene, whether there were people entering or leaving the house, barn, or the gardens around the house, and whether any car came to these areas," the report included the following information:
'As stated in the 'decoded' clip, shadows and lighted areas were monitored in the house and barn area, and the discretion regarding these monitored movements belongs to the court."
INTENSE LIGHT GLARE REFLECTED ON THE CAMERA FROM BESIDE THE BARN HAS DRAWN ATTENTION"
The following additional points were included in the expert report regarding the examined footage:
"This section contains remarkable findings that emerged as a result of watching and examining all frames of the camera recording after image enhancement and clarification work by the forensic image analysis experts of the National Criminal Bureau. 15 seconds after the shadow seen on the path at 15.18.50 (15.19.05), an intense light glare reflected on the camera from beside the barn drew attention. Just before the vehicles following each other seen at 15.38 were examined, a car that made a 'U' turn on the village upper road drew attention. Its evaluation and discretion belong to the court."
SHADOW DETAIL DID NOT ESCAPE ATTENTION
As a point to be noted in the report, it was stated that two black shadows were seen in front of the barn at 15.22, and a shadow was seen behind the barn at 15.25.
