Retirees look to this date: When will the pension increase difference be deposited?

Millions of retirees are wondering when the 1,969 TL raise difference will be deposited into their accounts following the increase of the lowest pension to 14,469 TL.

The regulation accepted in Parliament will be published in the Official Gazette following the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and payments will begin immediately after this step.

FINAL STEP FOR RAISE DIFFERENCE PAYMENT

With the inflation figures announced on January 3, civil servants received a 11.54 percent raise, while SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees received a 15.75 percent raise for the second 6-month period of 2024.

In line with this rate, the lowest pension was also increased from 12,500 TL to 14,469 TL.

PENSIONS RECEIVED WITHOUT RAISE IN JANUARY

Since the legal regulation had not yet been completed, retirees received the old figure of 12,500 TL in January instead of the increased pension.

This situation also affected the practice where retirees with low base pensions receive the difference through state support.

WHEN WILL THE RETIREE'S RAISE DIFFERENCE BE DEPOSITED?

There is only one step left for the 1,969 TL raise difference to be deposited into accounts. Following the regulation's passage through Parliament and becoming law, President Erdoğan's approval is awaited.

With the regulation to be published in the Official Gazette following the approval, the raise differences are expected to be deposited into retirees' accounts within the month of February.
