Salary crisis at government building construction site

According to the information obtained, Fırat Demir, a crane operator working at the government building construction site currently underway in the center of Kırşehir, reacted against the contractor firm and authorities, citing that he had not been paid his salary. Demir climbed onto the crane he was operating in order to make his voice heard.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Demir, who remained at the top of the crane for a long time, was persuaded by personnel from the Kırşehir Police Department.

It was learned that the issue was resolved after his colleagues and police teams reached the officials of the contractor firm.

Demir, who was persuaded to come down, was brought down from the crane under police escort. Demir, who was handed over to 112 Emergency Service teams for a health check, was taken to Kırşehir Training and Research Hospital.

While an investigation into the incident has been initiated, it was alleged that Demir had not received his salary for approximately 3 months.
