Social security expert Özgür Erdursun announced the latest developments regarding the gradual retirement law via social media.
Erdursun stated, "A gradual retirement law could be enacted, but this issue is not currently on the government's agenda. However, I believe this matter could come to the agenda for those who became insured after September 8, 1999."
"I anticipate that this issue will be discussed even more, especially during the 2028 election period," he assessed.
Erdursun provided the following details regarding the law: “A woman who became insured after September 8, 1999, will be able to retire at an age much lower than the current age requirements.”
For example, women would be able to retire at 46 instead of 58, and men at 48 instead of 60. It can be considered that the gradual system would progress through the ages of 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, and 56.
Özgür Erdursun's statements have become a new source of hope for those experiencing issues with retirement age. It is reported that the new regulation has the potential to end the long-standing expectations of citizens caught in the retirement age trap and could provide economic and social benefits.
