Grammy-winning singer and actress Miley Cyrus could not hold back her tears at the Disney Legends Awards. The 31-year-old star was named a "Disney Legend" at the awards ceremony.
The actress became the youngest person to receive this award.
Cyrus, who rose to fame with the character she played in the "Hannah Montana" series on Disney Channel, was 13 years old when the show premiered in 2006.
Taking the stage to receive her award at the D23 fan event, which was attended by 12 thousand people, the actress said, "I am still proud to have been Hannah Montana. This award is dedicated to Hannah in many ways, to all her loyal fans, and to everyone who made my dream a reality."
The actor said, "I got a taste of what my life could be like in the series, and from that moment on, I didn't want anything else."
