She killed her baby by making her drink thinner! The striking 'confession' detail in the father's statement
In the Esenler district of Istanbul, Dilek Ç. put paint thinner into her 2-year-old baby's bottle and made her drink it. The baby, who was rushed to the hospital, lost her life. In his statement to the prosecutor's office, the father, Yılmaz E., revealed the confession Dilek Ç. had made to him.

Dilek Ç. (23), who lived in Kırıkkale, had a child out of wedlock with her partner, Yılmaz E. Claiming that the father, Yılmaz E., did not take responsibility for her or the child, Dilek Ç. came to Istanbul to stay with relatives. On Tuesday, September 29, while at a park in Bağcılar, the mother put thinner into the baby's bottle. Two-year-old Yunus Emre drank the thinner in the bottle. The mother then went with the baby to her relatives' house in Esenler. When the baby became ill at home, he was taken to the Çapa Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
The child, who remained in intensive care for approximately 2 months, passed away at the hospital yesterday. Following an autopsy at the Council of Forensic Medicine, the funeral of baby Yunus Emre was laid to rest at Kilyos Cemetery.
MOTHER ARRESTED
Following the child's admission to the hospital with chemical poisoning, police teams detained both the mother and the father.
During questioning at the police station, it was learned that the mother stated she had given birth to the child out of wedlock, and that she had committed the act because she fell into a depression after the father refused to take responsibility. The mother was referred to the courthouse, where she was arrested and sent to prison, while the father was released under judicial control conditions.
FATHER'S STATEMENT REVEALED
In his statement to the prosecutor's office, the father, Yılmaz E., said, "In September 2024, Dilek told me she had come to Istanbul with the child.
I checked Dilek and our child into a hotel. On 25.09.2024, our 2-year-old child, Yunus Emre, became ill and was taken to the hospital. Our child died during the night on 14.11.2024. Dilek confessed to me that she had poisoned our child to death. After this incident, numerous comments containing insults and threats directed at Dilek and me were made on social media regarding the news reports about the event.
Furthermore, my home address was written in one of the comments. I am filing a complaint against the individuals who made comments containing insults and threats referring to me regarding the incident I described, and who also disclosed my home address. I do not know the individuals who use the accounts where these comments were made. I am submitting the screenshots as evidence. This is all I have to say."
