Social media user who praised Semih Çelik's murders arrested
A social media user who made posts praising Semih Çelik, who murdered Ayşenur Halil and İkbal Uzuner half an hour apart in Istanbul's Fatih district, has been arrested.

Following the incident that occurred on October 4, the Istanbul Police Department has launched an investigation into social media posts made by a user that "praise crime and criminals."
In the study, it was determined that the content was created by the suspect E.S. (24).
The detained suspect was referred to the courthouse following police processing on charges of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting," "praising a crime and a criminal," and "disturbing the peace and tranquility of individuals."
E.S. was arrested by the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace.

On October 4, in Eyüpsultan and Fatih, 19-year-old Semih Çelik murdered Ayşenur Halil and İkbal Uzuner, both also 19, before jumping from the walls in Edirnekapı and committing suicide.
