We ended the first season of Squid Game with Seong winning the game and surviving. Seong returns as the main character in the second season of Squid Game.
After winning the game and becoming wealthy with the prize money, Seong cannot forget the deaths of so many people and knows that hundreds more will die. Seong wants to dismantle the system and put an end to this death game. His greatest ally on this path is the police officer Hwang. Seong and Hwang agree on a plan.
The plan is as follows: Seong will get himself accepted back into Squid Game. Meanwhile, Hwang and his men will track Seong. Additionally, Seong will have a tracking device on him. This way, when Seong goes to the island where the game is held, Hwang will be able to pinpoint the location, rescue Seong, and capture those running the game.
However, their plans do not go as expected. The organizers of Squid Game turn out to be smarter than our heroes. Hwang loses track of Seong. Seong also realizes this. Left alone and unsupported in the middle of Squid Game, Seong enters a battle for survival once again.
