The cost of the ABB concert by Ebru Gündeş, which became a national talking point, has been announced.
In a statement made by the ABB regarding the concert in question, it was stated: "The claim that 69 million lira was given to Ebru Gündeş, who performed as part of the events for the 101st anniversary of our Republic, and the image circulated alongside it have no relation to reality. The net figure is not 69 million lira, but 44 million 937 thousand 117 lira including VAT."
'IS 45 MILLION LITTLE?'
Hürriyet Editor-in-Chief Ahmet Hakan, stating that concerts should be banned, noted the following:
"I used to strongly support our citizens meeting with artists through free public concerts.
But when I saw the millions given to Ebru Gündeş...
I have now completely abandoned this support.
The Ankara Municipality shelled out 45 million, not 69 million, to Ebru Gündeş.

But in the end, isn't 45 million lira going to the concert?
Municipalities should not squander the resources they need to spend on services on concerts.

They should drop that concert.
There is no Mansur or Ekrem in this matter.
There is no party or anything of the sort in this matter.
No municipality, whether AK Party or CHP, can wastefully spend the public's money on the likes of Ebru Gündeş"
