Barış Manço, one of the pioneering names of Turkish rock music, also had wide recognition abroad. Manço, who received the title of State Artist of the Republic of Turkey in 1991, passed away at the age of 56 on February 1, 1999, as a result of a heart attack at his home in Kadıköy.

According to the report by Birsen Altuntaş, successful actor Ekin Koç will take on the role of Barış Manço. The director's chair for the film will be occupied by Hakan Kırvavaç, also known as Ketche, who is known for the film "Kızılcık Şerbeti."

EKIN KOÇ WILL PORTRAY HIM

İsmet Ekin Koç was born in Alanya, Antalya, in 1992. After completing his high school education at Aldemir Atilla Konuk Anatolian High School, he studied at the Department of Business Administration at Istanbul Bilgi University. He received his acting training from Altan Gördüm at the Akademi 35 Buçuk Art House.

Koç first became known for the character "Tilki" in the series Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim. He drew attention with the role of Ahmed I in the series Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem and received great acclaim by portraying the character of Sultan Ahmed Sencer in the series Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu. He had his first cinema experience in the film Senden Bana Kalan; he later played Halis Karataş in the film Bizim İçin Şampiyon. Koç, who also starred in Ferit Karahan's film Okul Tıraşı and Emin Alper's film Kurak Günler, participated in the Cannes Film Festival with these productions.
