A contradiction caught attention in the data announced by TÜİK and ENAG. ENAG placed clothing and footwear products at the top of the inflation rates for products.
According to ENAG, a 20.06 percent increase was recorded in clothing and footwear products in January.
This data showed a decline according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). In the table where it published the inflation rates of products, TÜİK reported that there was a 5.17 percent decrease in clothing and footwear in January.
The aforementioned contradiction between the two institutions drew attention.
