Arriving at the Atatürk Airport General Aviation Terminal, Solskjaer was welcomed by club officials.
A 1.5-year contract will be signed with the 51-year-old Norwegian manager.
Born on February 26, 1973, Solskjaer is known by the nickname "Baby-faced Assassin."
The Norwegian, who helped Molde finish the season in second place after transferring there in 1995, headed to Manchester United the following year, where he would become a legend.
Known as a "super sub" who scored critical goals in matches he entered as a substitute, Solskjaer managed to score 126 goals in 366 matches for the Red Devils.
Ending his professional football career in 2007, Solskjaer served as the coach of United's reserve team.
Returning to his former team Molde in 2011, the Norwegian took a position at Cardiff City in 2014, but could not prevent his team from being relegated from the Premier League.
Returning to Man U. again in 2019 to take over the position from Mourinho on an interim basis, Solskjaer took over the managerial seat permanently after achieving 14 wins in 19 matches.
The Norwegian manager led the Red Devils to the Europa League final in 2021.
