Threatening messages to the family of Alperen, who died from a punch by a 13-year-old: 'I will feed you to the dogs'
The trial of two defendants, one of whom is in custody, for causing the death of 15-year-old Alperen Ömer Toprak in Bolu by punching him, continued. It was revealed that the 13-year-old defendant in custody had shared a photo of himself with a handgun on his social media account about an hour before the incident. Furthermore, it was learned that the grieving family has been receiving threatening messages from numbers registered abroad.

The incident occurred on June 12, 2025, at Kültür Park located on İsmetpaşa Street. Allegedly, an argument broke out between 13-year-old S.Ş. and 15-year-old Alperen Ömer Toprak. As the argument escalated, S.Ş. punched Toprak. Toprak, who collapsed to the ground from the impact of the blow, suffered cardiac arrest.
Upon notification, medical teams arrived at the scene and revived Alperen Ömer Toprak with CPR. Toprak was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.
Regarding the incident, 13-year-old S.Ş. and his 14-year-old friend E.Y., who was with him, were detained by teams from the Public Security Branch Directorate's Murder Bureau. Of the suspects whose statements were taken, S.Ş. was arrested, while E.Y. was released under judicial control.
The second hearing of the case opened regarding the incident was held at the Bolu 1st High Criminal Court. Due to the young age of the defendants, the hearing was held in a closed session. The court panel adjourned the hearing to March 4, as the autopsy report requested from the Council of Forensic Medicine in the previous session had not yet reached the file.
Threatening messages to the family
On the other hand, it was learned that the family of the late Alperen Ömer Toprak has been receiving threatening messages from numbers registered abroad, such as 'I will cut off your heads and feed you to the dogs', 'Blessings to my brothers who killed your son', and 'How did Alperen die, wasn't it very enjoyable?'

It was also revealed that the detained defendant S.Ş., who caused the death of Alperen Ömer Toprak, had shared a photo of himself with a handgun on his social media account about 1 hour before the incident.
Making a statement in front of the courthouse after the hearing, the family's lawyer Alper Coşkun stated that the family was subjected to threats and said, "The second hearing of the case was held today. We are waiting for the report from the forensic medicine department. Currently, the only missing piece for the case to reach a verdict is the report expected from forensic medicine. I hope it concludes as soon as possible. Throughout this process, the family has received messages like 'How nicely Alperen died'."
