The incident occurred this evening on Osmaniye Street in the Ulugazi neighborhood of Samsun's İlkadım district. According to the information obtained, Sercan D. (43), who operates a cafe, began selling the toast he made to customers at a coffeehouse owned by Cengiz K., located near his business.
Upon seeing his customers constantly ordering toast from the cafe, coffeehouse owner Cengiz K. bought a toast machine and began making and selling toast himself.
Angered by this situation, cafe owner Sercan D. arrived in front of the coffeehouse on a motorcycle, fired 2 shots at the coffeehouse windows with a pump-action shotgun, carried out an armed attack, and fled.
The glass shattered in the armed attack struck the faces of Aydemir K. (45) and Seyfullah T. (50), who were inside as customers, injuring both of them.
The injured were taken to Gazi State Hospital and Samsun Training and Research Hospital for treatment. A large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The armed attacker, Sercan D., returned to the scene on his motorcycle while police were working and was apprehended thanks to the vigilance of the teams from the İlkadım District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau. Sercan D., who was taken into custody at the scene, was taken to the İlkadım District Police Department for questioning. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
