The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change's Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) will launch its 25 percent discount campaign for advance payments on September 23 this year.
Making a statement on social media regarding the matter, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated, "Upon the intense demand of our citizens who have become homeowners and business owners with the assurance of TOKİ, we will provide a 25 percent discount opportunity for residences and workplaces with ongoing payments. Additionally, those who wish to pay off at least 25 percent of their debt will also be able to receive the same rate of discount. Best of luck."
WILL COVER HOMES AND WORKPLACES SOLD BEFORE JULY 2023
Those who purchased homes and workplaces from TOKİ will be able to benefit from a 25 percent discount if they pay off their remaining debt in full. Owners of properties sold by the end of June 2023, whose repayment installments began no later than the end of June 2023, and who have more than 12 months of remaining installments, will be eligible to apply for the campaign.
Buyers who cannot pay off the entire debt but wish to pay 25 percent or more of the remaining debt balance will also be able to benefit from the 25 percent discount.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE MADE THROUGH BANKS
Residential and commercial property owners who wish to benefit from the campaign will be able to apply to the bank where the sales transactions took place between September 23 and October 18, 2024. Citizens will also be able to learn the amount they need to pay from the bank.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
As of the application date, residential and commercial property owners must have paid the installment payments for the month in which the debt closure is made. Additionally, there must be no outstanding retroactive installment or property tax debts.
For residential and commercial property owners in projects where condominium ownership has been established who wish to benefit from the campaign, it is required to bring a 'no debt' certificate obtained from the site management and a document showing the real estate declaration value obtained from the relevant municipality when going to the bank. Citizens who wish to use a loan while benefiting from the discount will be able to receive support from the banks where they have signed the Real Estate Sales Contract.
NO DISCOUNTS WILL BE APPLIED OUTSIDE THE SPECIFIED DATES
Citizens will not be able to benefit from the 25 percent discount for debt settlements and partial payments made after the campaign date. Approximately 162 thousand residential and workplace owners are expected to benefit from the campaign.
