Traffic density before Eid al-Adha! Radar and drone-supported inspections

Citizens wishing to spend the Eid al-Adha holiday in their hometowns or holiday resorts have begun to hit the road. Vehicle traffic is flowing smoothly in Kırıkkale, which is known as the "key junction" and serves as a transit route for 43 provinces.

Thanks to the measures taken before the holiday, there are no disruptions in transportation on the Kırıkkale-Kayseri D-765 and Kırıkkale-Samsun D-200 highways, although occasional traffic activity is observed.

Under the coordination of the Kırıkkale Governorship, teams from the Provincial Police Department and the Provincial Gendarmerie Command are continuing their inspections at checkpoints without interruption to ensure traffic safety.

During the inspections, the teams warned drivers to wear seat belts, refrain from using mobile phones, and obey speed limits.

In addition, road safety has been increased by assigning a traffic team every 10 kilometers. Speed control with radar vehicles has also been intensified in an effort to prevent traffic violations. Some intersections have been temporarily closed to traffic by highway teams to ensure traffic flow during the holiday period.

İsa Söğüt, Director of the Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch of the Provincial Police Department, emphasized in a statement to an İHA reporter that Kırıkkale is an important transit route connecting the east and the west.

Söğüt said, "We have started our work within the scope of the Eid al-Adha traffic measures implemented by our Ministry of Interior between May 30 and June 11. We have made transitions safer by closing the Kalecik, Organized Industrial Zone, Provincial Agriculture, and Balışeyh intersections to traffic."

Söğüt also added, "We have extended the duration of traffic lights and positioned our teams to be visible every 10 kilometers. We are in constant inspection with aerial surveillance via drones, speed control with radar vehicles, EDS systems, and our traffic teams on the highway. Traffic flow continues regularly on all routes."

Urging drivers to follow traffic rules with the motto "One rule, one life," Söğüt called for sensitivity, especially regarding seat belt use, speed violations, and mobile phone use. Furthermore, drivers traveling long distances were advised to take short breaks.
