Turkey's medication usage report revealed
The results of a study conducted by the Turkey Health Foundation (TSV) with 2,314 people across 72 provinces have revealed Turkey's behavior regarding medication usage.

According to the research, 63.3 percent of participants have not used at least one medication prescribed to them within the last two years, and 86.1 percent use non-prescription medication based on the advice of friends and acquaintances.

67.7 percent keep them in the medicine cabinet
5.1 percent give them to a healthcare facility or pharmacy
19.4 percent give them to those in need
6.8 percent throw them away.
36.4 percent use the medication exactly as recommended.
22.8 percent say they stop once they feel better.
17.1 percent say they sometimes forget and skip doses.
23.7 percent prefer natural products.
A 56.4 percent segment consists of those who take medication with them as a precaution when traveling.
The 3.2 percent portion regularly brings medication from abroad.
26.4 percent of people use products based on advertisements or recommendations from relatives instead of medication.
Those who regularly clear out expired medicines from their medicine cabinets: 36.3 percent.
