Beşiktaş plans to part ways with Vincent Aboubakar, whose contract expires in 2025, as soon as possible. However, it is alleged that the Cameroonian striker wants to stay at the club, having rejected all offers made to him.
Having turned down offers from the Brazilian League and Arab countries, Aboubakar receives a guaranteed annual salary of 3 million 110 thousand euros and is demanding that this amount be paid to him in order to terminate his contract.
The black-and-whites have clearly informed Aboubakar that he is not in their plans, delivering the message, "It is very difficult for you to be in the squad from now on." However, no positive response regarding a departure has been received.
Head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst did not include Aboubakar in the squad for the Super Cup match against Galatasaray or the league match against Samsunspor, and it has been reported that the Dutch manager does not intend to give Aboubakar any playing time.
Aboubakar, who played in a total of 34 matches for Beşiktaş last season, starting in 19 of them, recorded a performance of 12 goals and 3 assists.
Meanwhile, Eyüpspor Vice President Fatih Kulaksız stated that reports regarding their interest in Aboubakar do not reflect the truth, saying, "The news about Aboubakar is not true. We have no plans regarding the player."
