Undecided and protest voters leave their mark on Metropoll's latest poll: What is the point gap between AKP and CHP?

Discussions regarding an early election, which began following the March 31 local elections, continue to remain on the agenda.

As discussions regarding early elections continue, public opinion polling companies have also accelerated their general election survey efforts.

Most recently, Metropoll Research shared the results of its latest election poll.

In a survey conducted between September 12-19 with 1,526 participants, respondents were asked the question, "If a parliamentary election were held this Sunday, which political party would you vote for?"

Özer Sencar, founder of Metropoll Research, shared the survey results with the following note: "Manipulative statements and comments are being made in the media regarding Metropoll's September research data. Some of these are due to not having seen the report, while others aim to misinform the public. I am presenting the parties' voter support for September below."

The high proportion of voters who stated they would cast a protest vote or remain undecided in the survey results drew attention.

The picture that emerged before the undecided voters were distributed is as follows:

AKP: 21 percent

CHP: 20.6 percent

Protest Vote: 15.8 percent

Undecided: 13.5 percent

DEM Party: 6.3 percent

MHP: 6.1 percent

No response: 5 percent

İYİ Party: 3.2 percent

New Welfare Party: 2.6 percent

Victory Party: 2.4 percent

Other Parties: 2.4 percent

Workers' Party of Turkey: 1.1 percent

After the undecided voters were redistributed, the results were as follows:

AKP: 31.9 percent

CHP: 31.4 percent

DEM Party: 9.6 percent

MHP: 9.3 percent

İYİ Party: 4.9 percent

New Welfare Party: 3.9 percent

Victory Party: 3.7 percent

Other Parties: 3.6 percent

Workers' Party of Turkey: 1.6 percent
