Undecided voters leave their mark on the latest election poll: Which party came out on top?

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who emerged victorious from the March 31 local elections, has brought the debate over early elections to the agenda.

Özel, in a television program he attended recently, stated: “If it were up to me, let's make the decision tomorrow and hold the election in 2 months, but it is not in my hands. I have no different opinion regarding an early election. If I had 360 deputies, I would do what is necessary.”

As discussions regarding early elections continue, the IdeaPolitik Political Research and Think Tank (IdeaPolitik Institute) has shared the results of its latest public opinion poll.

In a survey conducted between June 23-26 across 26 provinces with 1,824 participants, respondents were asked the question: "If an election were held tomorrow, which party would you vote for?"

The survey results were marked by 'undecided' voters. According to the research, if an election were held this Sunday, 25.5 percent would be undecided, 6 percent said they would cast a blank vote, 5.6 percent expressed no opinion, and the rate of those saying they would not vote was 0.5 percent.

In contrast, the CHP remains the leading party with 21.6 percent, while the AKP follows closely behind with a rate of 21 percent.

After the undecided voters were redistributed, the results were as follows:

CHP 35.2 percent

AKP 34.3 percent

DEM Party 12.4 percent

MHP 5.6 percent

New Welfare Party 4.2 percent

İYİ Party at 3.6 percent

Zafer Party 3.2 percent
