A vehicle was stopped by teams during traffic inspections conducted on the Caddebostan coastal road. During the checks, it was determined that the vehicle's mufflers had been removed and its catalytic converter had been dismantled. Consequently, an administrative fine of 21 thousand liras was imposed on the driver, and the vehicle was banned from traffic for 30 days and towed to a police impound lot.
The driver, stating that he had come to Caddebostan just for a drive, said, "We came to take a tour on the street. Our vehicle was banned from traffic due to the exhaust. We came from Samsun. Apparently, the mufflers were removed. We were fined 21 thousand liras, and on top of that, there is a parking fee. We will have to sell whatever sheep and lambs we have in the village now. I loved my car very much. I had only come out for a drive."
It was learned that the teams' inspections targeting vehicles that disturb the environment and violate technical requirements will continue without interruption.
