Veteran actress Gül Onat opens up about her illness: What is Gül Onat's illness?

Veteran actress Gül Onat, who brought the character of 'Aunt Perihan' to life in the series Sihirli Annem, which left its mark on a generation, has made statements regarding the health problems she has been dealing with for some time.

Participating in the program Aramızda Kalmasın, Gül Onat spoke about the pancreatic cancer she was diagnosed with. Stating that her illness was the reason she had been away from sets, Onat described her condition with the following words:

"I was a person who listened to myself and got checked regularly. Never neglect it. The doctor said there was a serious problem in the pancreas. They said it looked like it was at a very early stage. The doctor said, 'I can remove this.'

I calculated whether I should have the surgery in 10 days or sooner. The holiday was coming up. I thought, if I'm going to die in 10 days, let me live a little longer. The surgery, which was supposed to take 45 minutes, lasted 8 hours.

The doctor was by my side every minute. My words were, 'I won't be able to leave this hospital.' May God not give this to my worst enemy. It was a truly difficult process. I keep wondering when I will die."
