Walter White's house is for sale: Asking price is 10 times the normal value

The White family home, which became as famous as the characters themselves in the legendary series Breaking Bad, has been put up for sale. In the show, Walter White, his wife Skyler, and his son Walter Jr. lived in this house. Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the house has become synonymous with the series over the years. It almost became a character in the show itself.

The actual owner of the property, Joanne Quintana, tells the story of the house: “My family bought this house in 1973. The house has been ours for almost 52 years. One day in 2006, there was a knock at our door, and they said they wanted to film a pilot. The filming began. I met all the actors. I was always baking cookies for the actors and the set crew. However, Bryan Cranston could never eat the cookies. He was playing a cancer patient and needed to lose weight.”

Over time, the house became a magnet for fans of the series. Hundreds of people were taking photos of the house every day. After the pizza scene, they started throwing pizzas onto the roof of the house. Some even snuck into the garden and tried to swim in the pool.

The owner, Joanne, describes the final straw: “There was a knock at our door at 4:30 in the morning. We found a package in front of the house with ‘For Walter White’ written on it. We called the police. The police even called the bomb squad.” After this incident, they had metal fences installed around the house and set up a security camera system.

After her parents passed away, the owner, Joanne, decided to sell the house with her brother. The price of similar houses in the area hovers around 400 thousand dollars. The owner, however, has put the house on the market for 4 million dollars, which is 10 times the market rate.
