Warning from Naci Görür: High earthquake potential

According to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.5-magnitude tremor was recorded in the Aegean Sea.
It was determined that the earthquake, which occurred 172.77 kilometers from the Datça district of Muğla, took place at a depth of 6.75 kilometers.
In his assessment regarding the earthquake, Prof. Dr. Naci Görür stated, "Earthquakes are occurring in the Mediterranean around Crete, in the Pliny-Strabo Fault zone, and they are being felt particularly around Muğla (4.3, 4.5)."
In a statement on his social media account, Görür used the expressions, "In this zone, the African Plate is subducting beneath the Anatolian Plate and being consumed. It is a zone with high earthquake potential."
