In Turkey, where citizens are struggling with the cost of living due to the economic crisis, the AKP government has appointed trustees to 4 municipalities in the last 1 week.
While the opposition front continues its calls for an 'early election', public opinion research companies have also accelerated their polling efforts.
Most recently, ASAL Research conducted a public opinion survey regarding an early election.
In the survey conducted in October with 2 thousand people across 26 provinces, citizens were asked the question, "Do you think an early general election should be held?"
A majority of 42.6 percent of participants supported holding an early election. Conversely, 51.5 percent stated that they did not want an early election.
The majority of those who want an early general election are voters from the CHP and DEM Party.
