Zeren Group, one of Turkey's prominent fuel companies, has returned to the agenda with the TP acquisition. So, who are the owners of Zeren Group Yatırım Holding? Did the Competition Authority make a statement regarding the acquisition?
DID THE COMPETITION AUTHORITY MAKE A STATEMENT?
The Competition Authority examined the effects of the transaction in detail across all stages of the fuel sector, including fuel supply, distribution, storage, and retail sales, as well as the markets for automotive and industrial mineral oils.
As a result of the examination, which also took into account the unique structure of the markets analyzed and their relationship with each other, the acquisition was permitted by the Competition Authority's decision dated 07.11.2024 and numbered 24-25/1063-453, as it would not result in a significant reduction of effective competition.
