WHO IS TAN SAĞTÜRK?

Tan Sağtürk is a Turkish ballet dancer, choreographer, and actor born in İzmir on July 14, 1969. After graduating from the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory's Department of Ballet, he continued his career in France. He served as a principal dancer at the French Young Ballet (Le Jeune Ballet De France) and the French National Ballet (Ballet National De France).

Working as a principal ballet dancer at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet between 1997 and 1998, Sağtürk took on lead roles in works such as "Swan Lake," "Sleeping Beauty," "Ara Danslar Ara Nağmeler," and "Emrivaki" during this period.

Throughout his career, he created the choreography titled "Kalp Sesi" for the Antalya and İzmir State Opera and Ballet. Additionally, he performed in many festivals by playing the lead role in Mehmet Balkan's work titled "Dostum Akdeniz." In 2018, he took on one of the main roles in the epic opera "Troya," a major production of the State Opera and Ballet.

In his television career, Sağtürk became known for the character of Timothy in the series "İkinci Bahar." He also portrayed the character of Hakan in the series "Bez Bebek," which aired on FOX. Furthermore, he appeared in series such as "Altın Kızlar" and "Şöhret Okulu."

Active in the field of education, Sağtürk established ballet and dance schools in Diyarbakır, Mardin, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, and Cyprus. He popularized ballet among a wide audience by opening the Tan Sağtürk Ballet and Dance Education Center.
