The incident occurred on the first floor of a building in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy neighborhood. According to information obtained, Döndü E. and her husband Emre E. had an argument.
As the argument escalated, an angry Emre E. locked the house, where his wife and sister-in-law were located, from the outside and left. Due to the distress caused by the argument, Döndü E. attempted suicide by taking a large number of pills she found in the house. After she became weak some time after taking the pills, her sister grew suspicious, realized her sister had taken pills, and called the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the address.
While the teams arrived at the scene in a short time, neither the medical personnel nor the police could enter the house because the door was locked. The police teams obtained the husband's phone number but could not get an answer despite calling repeatedly. Upon this, the teams intervened to break down the door under the instruction of the prosecutor's office.
While the fire department teams were intervening to break down the door, the woman, shouting from behind the door, said she did not want the door to be broken. Upon this, the teams gave up on breaking the door, and a locksmith was brought in. The woman, who also did not want the locksmith to enter, essentially tested the patience of the teams.
The door was opened by a locksmith called to the scene by the police. With the door opened, the first intervention for the woman who attempted suicide was performed inside the house. Subsequently, the young woman was taken to Aksaray Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that the woman, who was taken under treatment there, is in good health, and a judicial investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
