Young woman jumps to her death from 80-meter-high glass terrace
A 21-year-old university student has died after jumping from a glass observation terrace in the Safranbolu district of Karabük.

The incident occurred around noon at the glass observation terrace over the İncekaya Canyon.
According to the information obtained, E.I.K. (21), a student at Gazi University, left her backpack on the ground after spending some time on the terrace.
It is alleged that the young woman then climbed onto the railing of the approximately 80-meter-high glass terrace and jumped.
Upon the notification of citizens in the vicinity, gendarmerie, AFAD, UMKE, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Checks performed by the teams that reached the area determined that the young woman had lost her life.
The body of E.I.K., which was recovered from the canyon by the teams, was taken to the morgue of Safranbolu State Hospital.
While it was learned that this is the first such incident to occur in the area, which opened in 2012 and holds the distinction of being Turkey's first glass terrace, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
