The Yusuf Dikeç pose, which has become a global sensation, has appeared as an exam question in the talent entrance exam at the Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University (EBYÜ) Faculty of Fine Arts.
According to reports in the public domain, candidates were asked to create a mechanical drawing of national athlete Yusuf Dikeç, who competed in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games in shooting without specialized equipment and with his hand in his pocket.
In the first session of the exam, student candidates drew objects placed on a table, while in the second session, they mechanically drew half of a portrait of Yusuf Dikeç.
EBYU Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kavukcu made statements regarding the exam and said the following:
“Our Faculty of Fine Arts talent exam has begun. Nearly 250 applications were made for the exam. A large portion of the applicants took the test. In the exam, we have questions that evaluate both our students' talents and how they follow daily events, as well as how much they perceive their surroundings.”
Opening a special parenthesis for Yusuf Dikeç, Mehmet Kavukcu stated, "In the exam, they will draw one side of Yusuf Dikeç's face with a mechanical, or robotic, logic. Yusuf Dikeç is a name that has become popular all over the world. We believe he represented Turkey in the most accurate way possible."
BYÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Akın Levent arrived at the exam site and wished the students taking the exam success.
