Price hikes in fuel and energy tariffs, along with high inflation, have brought about an increase in Fast Pass System (HGS) tariffs as well.
According to information obtained from banking sector officials, a 40 percent increase has been applied to HGS.
Banks will notify their customers of the new fee schedule via text message this week, and the new pricing will take effect starting August 19.
The minimum HGS (Fast Pass System) balance threshold was last increased to 175 TL on April 1, following a 75 percent hike. It had been stated that an update to HGS limits was necessary following the increases in bridge and highway tolls in July.
The new regulation aims to prevent HGS members from experiencing insufficient balance issues during highway and bridge crossings. It is stated that the automatic top-up amount will be updated to 245 TL.
The increased HGS price tariff will begin to be applied as of August 19.
