According to a report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, the car with license plate 34 FKJ 390, which was involved in the July 9, 2024, accident that resulted in the death of 17-year-old Batın Barlasçeki, was involved in another accident in Beykoz, Istanbul, on February 3, 2025.

The accident on February 3 caused significant property damage to the vehicle. According to official records, the repair cost for the car, which belongs to the Kınık family, was estimated at approximately 152 thousand TL. Eyewitnesses to the accident claimed that Kerem Kınık arrived at the scene and that his daughter, Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir, was driving the car again. The vehicle in question was the same one used in the 2024 accident.

A report from the Forensic Medicine Institute's Traffic Specialization Department, which was included in the case file, is also striking. The expert report submitted to the Istanbul Anatolian 8th High Criminal Court clearly stated that Zehra Kınık Demir was primarily at fault in the accident. Despite all these findings, the requests for arrest made by Batın Barlasçeki’s family and lawyers have not been granted to date.
