Number of injured in bus accident rises to 40
The number of injured in the passenger bus that lost control and overturned into a ditch on a road made slippery by rain in Kırıkkale has risen to 40.

The accident occurred during the night on the Kırıkkale-Çorum highway near the Kimeski neighborhood, in an area where road construction work is ongoing.
According to the information obtained, the Mercedes-brand passenger bus with license plate 44 PU 999, operated by Cevdet K. and belonging to the Doğu Kars company, which was traveling from Bursa to Kars, overturned into a ditch after the driver lost steering control on the road made slippery by rain.
Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health, UMKE, AFAD, Kırıkkale Municipality Fire Department, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The injured, who were extracted from the bus by the teams, received initial medical intervention at the scene.
20 of the injured were taken to Yüksek İhtisas Hospital, and the other 20 were taken to the Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
It was learned that the injured individuals under treatment are not in life-threatening condition. Yahşihan District Governor Abdulkadir Umut Kasman and Kırıkkale Provincial Police Chief Mustafa Işık also arrived at the scene to receive information from the teams.
While gendarmerie and police teams took security measures on the highway, an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
