Police responding to KADES alert fired upon

The incident occurred on İsmet İnönü Street in the Şeyh neighborhood. Police teams responding to a KADES alert were fired upon by an individual inside the house. The individual wounded his ex-wife and a police officer with a firearm before shooting himself with the same weapon.

While numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area, extensive security measures were taken at the scene.

The wounded police officer and the woman shot by her ex-husband were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

It was determined that the individual, who shot himself in the head after firing at the police, died at the scene. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
