In the examinations conducted, a fraudulent substance was also detected in the 'Ahir' cheese brand, which is produced by a subcontractor for one of the three-letter supermarket chains that have increased in number in Turkey in recent years and is sold in all their branches.
It has been learned that the natamycin substance detected in milk and dairy products helps extend the shelf life of the product by preventing the growth of mold or yeast.
This food preservative, which is among the substances prohibited by the Ministry, can lead to health problems such as vomiting, diarrhea, and allergies if consumed in large quantities.
