Turkey evacuates its citizens in Lebanon

In a statement issued yesterday by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was announced that the evacuation of Turkish citizens who applied to leave Lebanon would be carried out by sea today.

In a statement regarding the matter, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "The evacuation of our citizens who have applied to leave Lebanon will be carried out by sea tomorrow (October 9). In this context, it is planned for 2 of our Naval Forces ships to set sail for Beirut today. The total capacity of our ships is approximately 2 thousand passengers. Details regarding the evacuation process will be shared separately with our citizens who have contacted our Consular Call Center to date. If necessary, evacuation operations will continue in the following days. Preparations have been completed to meet the needs of our citizens upon their arrival in our country."

Furthermore, it was stated that the ships assigned for the evacuation will also carry Turkey's humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously issued a statement calling on citizens not to travel to Lebanon unless necessary.

EVACUATION HAS BEGUN

Turkish citizens who applied to leave Lebanon waited for the TCG Bayraktar and TCG Sancaktar ships belonging to the Turkish Naval Forces, which are set to dock at the Port of Beirut for the evacuation.

TCG BAYRAKTAR AND TCG SANCAKTAR HAVE ARRIVED IN LEBANON

Turkey has taken action to evacuate Turkish citizens from Lebanon, which is under Israeli attacks.

The Turkish Navy's twin ships, TCG Bayraktar and TCG Sancaktar, have departed from the Port of Mersin.

HUMANITARIAN AID ALSO DELIVERED

The ships, which have a capacity of 2 thousand passengers, are also delivering humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

The Ministry of National Defense has announced that the TCG Sancaktar and TCG Bayraktar ships have arrived in Lebanon.
