Turkey and Hungary will face each other in the Nations League play-off second leg on Sunday evening, March 23.
Turkey head coach Montella said in the pre-match press conference, "I can say for sure that we have a small advantage, so we know we are facing a very dangerous opponent. We don't want to fall into a trap; they are an opponent that has competed in League A. We want to put on a good performance, both offensively and defensively."
Turkey defeated Hungary 3-1 in the first leg of the play-off round. Turkey took the lead with Orkun Kökçü, and Hungary responded with a goal from Schafer. After the first half ended 1-1, Turkey secured a 3-1 victory in the second half with goals from Kerem Aktürkoğlu and İrfan Can Kahveci.
