TasteAtlas announces the world's best salads: 6 delicacies from Turkey make the list

In the updated '100 Best Salads in the World' list by TasteAtlas, Antalya-style piyaz stood out by entering the top 10.

Gastronomy platform TasteAtlas has updated its "100 Best Salads in the World" list, prepared through user votes and evaluations by culinary experts. Six traditional salads from Turkey were included in the ranking, where examples from Mediterranean cuisine stood out.

Turkey was represented by six different salads in TasteAtlas's updated list.

At the top of the list is Dakos, native to the island of Crete in Greece. Prepared with barley rusk, grated tomatoes, myzithra cheese, olive oil, and various herbs, Dakos was chosen as the best salad in the world in the platform's current ranking.

SALADS FROM TURKEY THAT MADE THE LIST

The delicacy from Turkey that reached the highest position on the list was Antalya-style piyaz. Known for its special sauce prepared with tahini, lemon juice, and vinegar, Antalya piyaz secured the 9th spot, entering the top 10.
