TasteAtlas reveals: The world's best cuisines announced... Turkish food falls below expectations

In TasteAtlas's 2025/26 assessment, Italy, Greece, and Peru took the top three spots, while Turkish cuisine secured 7th place.

A new ranking has been announced in global assessments of world cuisines. The list, prepared by taking into account countries' food cultures, diversity, and levels of international appreciation, has drawn attention in the gastronomy world. TasteAtlas has announced its "100 Best Cuisines in the World" list for the 2025/26 period. This list, created with the votes of millions of users, shows how countries' culinary cultures align with global appreciation.

MEDITERRANEAN AND SOUTH AMERICAN CUISINES LEAD

Mediterranean and South American cuisines took the top of the list. Italy, Greece, and Peru occupy the first three spots. Portugal and Spain also drew attention by placing in the top five. Japan, meanwhile, ranked 6th.

TURKISH CUISINE IN 7TH PLACE

Turkish cuisine managed to remain in the top ranks this year, as it has in previous years, settling into 7th place. TasteAtlas listed Turkish cuisine among the world's most appreciated cuisines with a score of 4.49.
