15 drugs used in cancer treatment added to reimbursement list

The Social Security Institution has included drugs used for various diseases, primarily cancer treatment, in its reimbursement coverage.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that with the new regulation by the Social Security Institution (SGK), a total of 15 drugs, including those used in cancer treatment, have been added to the reimbursement list.

In his statement on social media, Minister Işıkhan said, "With this step, we have updated the reporting and prescription rules for drugs used in the treatment of diseases such as multiple myeloma, hidradenitis suppurativa, giant cell arteritis, and chronic iron overload. By offering new treatment options, we have facilitated our citizens' access to healthcare and medication. We will continue to work in the service of our nation in the future as well."
