During the night, university students staying at the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) dormitory in Burdur began to show symptoms of poisoning. Students who presented to the hospital with complaints such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever were taken under treatment at Burdur State Hospital.
After the treatment of approximately 50 students was completed, they were taken to the police station to provide statements. Authorities have taken samples from the dormitory food and water to determine what caused the students to fall ill.
It was reported that an investigation has been launched by the Burdur Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding this incident. While the health status of the students is being closely monitored, the cause of the incident is being investigated.
