Retired citizen İbrahim Örekli went to Bilkent City Hospital in Ankara on January 22.
Following his examination, his doctor deemed it necessary for him to undergo a colonoscopy and endoscopy. The citizen, who applied to "get a date," was given an appointment for January 15, 2025, exactly 359 days later.
Speaking to Sözcü, İbrahim Örekli complained, "I have another year ahead of me. I am 69 years old. Nothing can be done until that date; I will just have to wait. When they told me they were giving me an appointment for a year later, I objected. They said, 'There is nothing we can do, we are sorry.' It wasn't just me; they were scheduling other patients there for January and February of 2025 as well. They say a lot of progress has been made in the healthcare system. Where is it?"
