Seasonal allergies, or hay fever as it is known among the public, emerge especially in the spring months with the increase in the amount of pollen. The disease manifests itself with complaints such as itching, redness, sometimes swelling in the body, frequent and consecutive sneezing, and itching in the eyes.
''RUNNY NOSE, REDNESS IN THE EYES...''
Providing information that desert dust is prevalent across the country and that allergic reactions have increased due to the rise in pollen following the rains, Specialist Family Physician Dr. Saadet Gök said, "We can see that symptoms flare up in individuals, especially with the increase of pollen in the spring months. We can observe effects at a level that will reduce a person's quality of life, such as runny nose, nasal itching, redness, pain, stinging, and itching in the eyes. During this period when desert dust is prevalent, we can ensure that our complaints decrease a little by not going out to open areas much, keeping doors and windows closed, and cleaning filters regularly. If we need to go out, we must wear a mask."
