Providing information about animal care, Pulat stated that cats, in particular, should not be washed.
'THEY SHOULD NEVER BE WASHED'
Pulat said, "As you know, the winter months are approaching. I will provide recommendations for both stray and domestic animals. One of the questions I am asked most often is, 'Should cats be washed?' Cats should never be washed. Like other animals, cats can complete their own grooming during their evolutionary process.
In other words, every animal's cleaning needs are different from one another. Therefore, when you try to wash your cat thinking 'I want my cat to be clean,' you may actually be harming them unintentionally," he said.
'DO NOT FEED THEM TABLE SCRAPS'
Stating that the use of proper pet food is also important, Pulat said, "You should definitely not feed our pets table scraps. Of course, we do not recommend every type of food. You can consult your veterinarian for food choices. If we need to draw attention to stray animals, we set out with the slogan 'a bowl of water, a bowl of food.' Let's not love them from afar; let's adopt them and help them find homes. The more we adopt during the winter months, the better it will be for the animals."
