In the Sığırcık neighborhood of Eskişehir's Sivrihisar district, 15 chickens died suddenly at a farm. Following the chicken deaths, authorities conducted examinations and detected bird flu. 5 other neighborhoods in the same district have been placed under quarantine.

The Provincial Directorate of Agriculture teams launched an investigation into the deaths. It was determined that chickens had been brought to the region from the Çeltik district of Konya, where bird flu had previously been detected. Examinations confirmed the presence of bird flu.

5 NEIGHBORHOODS UNDER QUARANTINE

Within the framework of precautionary measures carried out by the Sivrihisar District Governorship, the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, the Eskişehir Provincial Health Directorate, and the Sivrihisar District Directorate of Agriculture, it was decided to place the Sığırcık neighborhood, where the bird flu was detected, and 4 other neighborhoods within a 10-kilometer radius under quarantine.

It was learned that owners of poultry such as chickens, roosters, and ducks in the 5 quarantined neighborhoods will be compensated for the culling of their animals, and that the culled animals will be buried with lime.
