The Ministry of Health issued a statement yesterday following the World Health Organization's (WHO) declaration of a public health emergency for the mpox virus.
The statement included the following:
"No cases of mpox, which is primarily seen on the African continent, have been encountered in Turkey in 2024. There is currently no need for any restrictions or additional measures in our country."
