Citizen undergoing treatment for suspected CCHF passes away

72-year-old Şehriban Öztürk, who lived in Gökköy in the Almus district of Tokat, has passed away in Sivas, where she was being treated for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF).

The body of Şehriban Öztürk was received by her relatives.

It was learned that Öztürk had been bitten by a tick about a week ago and was taken to Almus State Hospital by her relatives after she began to feel unwell some time later.

Following initial intervention, Öztürk was transferred to a hospital in Tokat and subsequently moved to the Sivas Cumhuriyet University Health Services Application and Research Hospital. Despite medical interventions, Öztürk, who was being treated in the Anesthesia Intensive Care Unit for suspected CCHF, could not be saved.

It was stated that Öztürk's body, which was received by her relatives, will be laid to rest in Gökköy, Almus.
