France issues travel warning to its citizens in Iran
France has called on its citizens in Iran to leave the country due to the potential for increased military tension in the region following the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel warning to its citizens in Iran. The warning stated that there is a serious risk of military tension between Israel and Iran following the assassination of Haniyeh, and requested that French citizens in Iran leave the country as soon as possible.
The warning, which reminded that all Iranian territory is under a red-level travel alert, stated, "It is officially advised that French citizens do not travel to Iran for any reason whatsoever."
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on July 31. While Iran and Hamas have stated that Israel is behind the attack, the Tel Aviv administration continues to remain silent regarding this assassination.
Israel, which has been continuing its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, is also clashing with Lebanese Hezbollah on its northern border.
