Investigation launched into hygiene allegations at Gülhane Hospital

The Ministry of Health has launched an investigation into the hygiene conditions at Gülhane Training and Research Hospital following footage circulated on social media.

According to the statement from the Ministry, inspectors were appointed under the instruction of Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu to investigate the claims made in footage shared by a patient's relative regarding the hospital's cleanliness and hygiene standards.

In the footage shared on social media, a citizen reacting to the filth in various parts of the hospital was seen addressing the Minister of Health, saying, "I am asking for the sake of God, would you please look at this filth, this bacteria?"

It was reported that the allegations will be examined as part of the investigation initiated after the footage quickly became a trending topic.
