Işıkhan stated that the regulation increases the number of drugs family physicians can prescribe and extends the report validity period for many medications.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, reminding that the new regulation regarding family physicians has been published in the Official Gazette, stated, "We have increased the number of drugs within the scope of reimbursement that family physicians can prescribe, and we have extended the report validity period for many medications." Making a statement on his social media account, Işıkhan noted that the duration of prescriptions written by family physicians has been extended and used the following expressions:

NUMBER OF DRUGS PRESCRIBED BY FAMILY PHYSICIANS INCREASED

With the regulation published in the Official Gazette;

We have included 16 drugs, 5 of which are cancer medications, in the scope of reimbursement.

We have increased the number of drugs within the scope of reimbursement that family physicians can prescribe, and we have extended the report validity period for many medications.

We have increased the number of drugs for which family physicians and internal medicine specialists can issue reports.
